Negli ultimi anni, si sa, è diventato piuttosto frequente per il popolo degli internauti non solo leggere, ma anche (e talvolta soprattutto) scrivere pagine web. La proliferazione di blog e interventi “wikies” lo conferma, non solo in USA e nord Europa ma anche in Italia. E’ un popolo di “giornalisti” che scrivono sul web tutto quello che vogliono: interessi, commenti, recensioni, dagli argomenti più frivoli ai temi più impegnativi. I blog sono diventati ormai per molti lettori le fonti informative più autorevoli e indipendenti cui rivolgersi, perchè di solito, chi dedica del tempo per trasferire informazioni ad altri, liberamente e gratuitamente, è spinto da uno spirito di verità e pubblica utilità, linfa vitale che ha portato alla fine a parlare di social markerking e social networking.
Con il popolo dei blogger si è sviluppata, di pari passo, la diffusione ed evoluzione di tool (software) adatti alla redazione di blog anche per coloro che non dispongono di competenze specialistiche in web developing.
Non sempre il blogger scrive lunghi testi: per lo più si limita a scrivere molti articoli (post) frequentemente, e soprattutto linkati a molto altri temi e siti presenti sul web.
Mentre la redazione di un blog presuppone, di solito, l’esistenza di un filo conduttore, la compilazione di articoli a scopo “wiki” è mossa dal voler completare/integrare testi esistenti con nuove nozioni affinchè tutti ne fruiscano. Wikipedia, ad esempio, è veramente diventata una enciclopedia nel senso etimologico del termine, perchè tratta tutti gli argomenti, è costantemente aggiornata (ogni secondo qualcuno aggiunge nuovi testi alle varie wikipedia del mondo, ed è scritta da milioni di mani. Un altro esempio è la Portland Pattern Repository , una enciclopedia specializzata in software da scaricare o consultare in qualsiasi momento: offre infatti una vasta gamma di links ad altri pacchetti di software wiki.
Quale beneficio per i siti?
L’esistenza di blogger e web reporter rappresenta una opportunità anche per le aziende che basano la propria strategia principalmente sul web: siti di e-commerce e informativi. Saper attrarre il traffico e la proattività di questi profili significa disporre di un esercito di recensori, critici, promoter competente, motivato e indipendente…e molto spesso a costo zero. Basti pensare alla opportunità per un sito che tratti prodotti tecnologici: se ad una scheda tecnica ufficiale, si accompagnano recensioni, test, opinioni “realmente vissute” del pubblico, il sito acquisterà una valenza non solo commerciale ma anche informativa: aumenterà il proprio traffico e la propria autorevolezza e potranno aumentare sensibilmente anche le vendite.
